IBM announces new SOA Partnerships
20 JUN 2008

BEIJING, China – June 18, 2008 – IBM announces that ChinaSoft International and MiTAC Inc. have become top partners for its Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). ChinaSoft International will construct an SOA Creative Center together with IBM.

IBM’s Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is a business-centric IT architectural approach that supports integrating businesses as linked, repeatable business tasks, or services. It is a recognized development trend in IT structure. SOA is not only a kind of technology but only a business strategy.

The IBM SOA has 6,550 customers and more than 5,000 business partners. According to the latest Gartner Dataquest survey, the SOA global market has grown to 16,000 billion USD, of which IBM holds up to 64% of the global market share.

ChinaSoft International and IBM have already begun SOA consulting in many industries. ChinaSoft International CEO Dr. Chen stated, “It is our hope that this will be a catalyst for many corporations; that via the foundation of the SOA centre, we can help them to create and revolutionize.”
